Project Description

PED Concepts provided construction management services for the engineering design and construction of the repairs, upgrades, and additions to the United States Army Reserve Center (USARC) in Morehead City, North Carolina, that resulted in a complete and usable Operational Waterfront Facility. The effort included redesigning and rebuilding timber piers and docks for LCU 1600 (“Mike” boats), mooring and docking piers, dolphins, and bollard foundations for LCU 2000, associated shoreside supply of electrical and mechanical utilities, reconstruction of shoreside vehicle operations areas, renovation of damaged existing steel sheet pile sea walls and concrete caps, and application for all associated local, state and federal permits.
